Peacebuilding is a due process and we are willing to contribute by ensuring the involvement of youths and women at the grassroots level. Within a period of twelve months, National Endowment for Democracy which works in supporting freedom around the world, will through funding, support youths and women to champion social cohesion activities in their communities.

In this regard, a five days capacity building for these peace champions on human rights monitoring, non-violent communication and peace building, and conflict mitigation in the family and community is currently ongoing.

After this training, these champions for peace will be able to address and report instances of conflict and human rights violations in their communities.
