Even in moments when large-scale community activities may not be visible, the impact of sustained leadership, advocacy, and service continues to resonate. The conferment of the title Moeneni is a testament to the enduring nature of her contributions proof that meaningful work leaves lasting impressions in the hearts of communities.

Part of a Growing Legacy of Traditional Recognition

This honor comes months after Mme Esther Omam was similarly recognized by the Mundemba Chiefdom, where she received the traditional title Eringo Cha-Ekombo. Together, these titles reflect a growing legacy of trust and appreciation from traditional institutions for her consistent engagement in peacebuilding and community development across the South West Region and beyond.

Traditional titles are not given lightly. They are rooted in deep community reflection and collective appreciation, making this recognition especially significant.

Words From Mme Esther Omam

Receiving the honor, Mme Omam expressed deep gratitude to the community, saying:

“I receive this title with humility and gratitude. Being called ‘Moeneni’ reminds me that even in challenging times, we all have a responsibility to be light for one another. This honor belongs not only to me, but to every woman, youth, and community member who continues to believe in peace, dialogue, and shared humanity.”

A Moment of Gratitude and Renewed Commitment

Reach Out Cameroon warmly celebrates this milestone and extends heartfelt gratitude to the Balondo women and the traditional leadership of Bamusso Subdivision for this profound honor.

As Mme Esther Omam carries the title Moeneni, following the earlier honor of Eringo Cha-Ekombo, she continues to embody the values of service, resilience, and hope serving as a light and advocate for peace, dignity, and opportunity for communities in Cameroon and beyond.
