Youth and Disability Inclusion in Communities

Disability is not Inability. Never too Young to Engage in Building Communities



60 participants ( youths and persons with disability) are currently undergoing a three days training on organisational management and meaningful participation in local governance.



According to Esther Omam, the Executive Director of Reach out Cameroon, '' Persons with disabilities have rights. We're Strenghtening the capacities of 60 #PLWD from the Idenau and EkondoTiti councils on inclusion in local governance. They will be structured to have stronger dialogue platforms which will enable them voice out their needs and interests within the municipalities concerned. We are drilling them on inclusion, growing their organisations, group dynamics ,fundraising and proposal development. It is all about : Their lives, their Rights!''



The training aims to increase participant’s knowledge by 75% on project design and proposal, fund raising and team building. This activity will be preceded by the raining of 02 council workers to serve as Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion Officers in each of the councils.
